Fountainhead Tenkara Fly Fishing

I have been fly fishing for the past 55 years, I've also been a martial arts student for the past 25 years.  Sometime early 2009, I happened upon a reference to a method of fly fishing that was thought to have been practiced by the Samurai.  That immediately drew my interest, and the more I researched, the more interested I became.  Once I gathered up some basic equipment, took it out, and caught my first fish, I knew I was hooked on Tenkara. It was a simple way to enjoy all the things I enjoyed about fly fishing.  I soon found that I had to share my first Tenkara rod with my wife (who is also a martial artist) when we fished together.
